Turkish-German Relations

Youth Work

We are a group of youth, interested in intercultural learning and promoting dialogue between Turkey and Germany. We believe we can learn a lot from each other, therefore our working principle is peer-to-peer, which allows us to constantly develop ourselves! By bringing young people from Germany and Turkey, two distinct yet connected locations, we aim at empowering each other while learning from one another. Since 2018, we are implementing various projects in multiple fields, creating spaces for dialogue, organizing workshops and events.

I believe in improving German-Turkish relations through solidarity. That is why I am active as a Youth Ambassador.

Lukas is especially passionate about youth participation and multilateralism. He joined JuBo in 2020 to strengthen Turkish-German youth relations and to share his love for *Istanbul’un kedileri*.

When I was 16, I’ve spent a year at a Turkish High School and lived with a host family. After that amazing experience, I wanted to give back and enable others to have their own experience and therefore, together with other members, founded Jugendbotschafter e.V.

I am a Youth Ambassador because I think communication and friendship between Germany and Turkey are very important. I want to be part of changing something, implementing it and bringing people together through projects.

When founding JuBo e.V., our aim was to promote an open and unbiased dialogue between Germany and Turkey by bringing together a bunch of motivated young people and, thereby, building sustainable bridges between both countries. I am very happy that JuBo e.V. turned out to be just the right place for that!
